Official National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco on September 10 center on highs of 74–80°F, reflecting a moderating sea breeze and marine layer under high pressure following a heat advisory. Recent model runs highlight uncertainty in onshore flow strength and timing, which can suppress coastal maxima by several degrees compared to inland or airport sites. Traders assign the highest implied probabilities to the 78–81°F bins because slight variations in wind direction or inversion depth could allow brief warming before the afternoon breeze strengthens. Historical September averages near 70°F and recent above-normal readings underscore how marine influences differentiate these narrow temperature outcomes. Updated NWS briefings and next model cycles will likely refine the range before resolution.
