**Incoming frontal boundary and shifting winds are the main drivers behind the balanced trader odds for Chicago's September 13 minimum temperature.** Official forecasts and model guidance indicate a transition from mild, southerly flow to northerly winds behind a weak system, with highs expected in the mid-70s and overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s—near or slightly below the 1991–2020 climatological average low of about 60°F. Cloud cover, light showers, and variable lake-influenced mixing introduce spread in minimum readings, while recent above-average warmth and the lack of strong high pressure keep both cooler (53°F or below) and warmer (72°F+) outcomes viable in market pricing. Updated National Weather Service and ensemble runs over the next 12–24 hours will likely refine the exact low before resolution.
