Recent polling from early September shows Donald Trump’s job approval stuck near or at second-term lows around 33-35 percent, with net ratings near minus 20, driven primarily by voter dissatisfaction with the economy, cost of living, and recent tariff actions including a 50 percent levy on certain Canadian goods. Aggregators such as RealClearPolitics and others place his standing in the high 30s as of September 6-9, reflecting sustained concerns over inflation and trade policy ahead of November midterms. These factors have produced consistent downward pressure on weekly movements, supporting trader consensus that approval is more likely to decline than rise in the immediate period.

Changes in the methodology by which Silver Bulletin calculates the approval rating will have no bearing on the resolution of this market. If Silver Bulletin's approval rating becomes permanently unavailable, RealClearPolitics will be used.
