Recent U.S. Treasury announcements to double long-term debt buybacks have driven USD weakness and lower Treasury yields, lifting silver (XAG/USD) to two-month highs near $70/oz with a roughly 7% weekly gain as of August 21. Spot prices traded around $68.92/oz on August 22 amid persistent momentum. A projected sixth consecutive annual supply deficit of about 46 million ounces, combined with steady industrial demand, provides structural support beyond gold’s monetary appeal. Traders will monitor the August 26 PCE release and Jackson Hole Symposium commentary for shifts in Fed rate expectations, which could influence dollar direction and risk sentiment into the resolution week.

In the event of a contract specification change, feed change, or similar structural modification affecting the market during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth.
The resolution source for this market is Pyth — specifically, the Silver (XAGUSD) "High" and "Low" prices available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Metal.XAG%2FUSD, with the chart settings configured for 1-minute candles.
Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter.
If the relevant Pyth data is unavailable due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption that prevents verification of the required 1-minute candle data, the official daily high/low price published for the relevant CME COMEX futures contract for the underlying metal—COMEX Silver Futures (SI)—may be used to determine whether the listed price was reached during the applicable trading session.
