Current forecast models from sources including the GFS and regional ensembles project a peak temperature near 38–39°C in Madrid on September 4 under persistent high pressure, clear skies, light southerly flow, and strong daytime insolation typical of early September. This setup favors the market's leading 39°C outcome (56.5% implied probability), with 40°C (22.5%) remaining plausible if subsidence warming intensifies or boundary-layer mixing stays limited. The 38°C probability (18.5%) reflects residual model spread and the historical September 4 record of 37°C. With resolution only two days away, traders are weighting the latest model runs and observational trends showing above-normal warmth across central Spain.
