**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models points to a high near 94°F for Houston on September 21, 2026, under mostly sunny skies with light winds and continued high humidity.** This aligns with the market-implied probability favoring the 94-95°F bin at 56.5%, ahead of 92-93°F at 26.5%. Recent observations show Houston experiencing above-average warmth, with daily highs in the mid-to-upper 90s through mid-September amid persistent subtropical high pressure and minimal frontal activity. Climatologically, late-September averages hover near 88-90°F, but the current pattern lacks significant cooling influences such as stronger onshore flow or organized precipitation. Model guidance indicates only modest day-to-day variation, with heat indices remaining elevated due to dew points in the mid-70s. Traders appear to be weighting the stable forecast heavily, though slight downside risk exists if afternoon cloud cover increases or if a weak disturbance alters the thermal profile.
