Recent India Meteorological Department forecasts and ensemble models project a maximum temperature of 34–36°C in Lucknow on September 22, driven by the receding southwest monsoon, reduced cloud cover, and light northeasterly winds that limit cooling. Recent observations show daily highs stabilizing near 34–35°C amid typical late-monsoon humidity levels of 60–75%. The market's 58% implied probability for exactly 34°C reflects this tight clustering of guidance, while lower odds for 35°C or 33°C capture residual uncertainty from scattered thunderstorm chances and minor model spread. Historical September maxima average near 33°C, providing climatological context for the current positioning. Updated short-range runs ahead of the date remain the key near-term catalyst.
