This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 7 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zuck If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus from multiple sources points to an overnight low near 25–27°C in Chongqing on September 7 under clear to partly cloudy skies, with minimal precipitation risk.** Official and model guidance (including Chongqing Meteorological Bureau outlooks and international services) consistently show daytime highs of 35–37°C and nighttime radiative cooling limited by high humidity and urban effects, keeping the minimum in the mid-20s. Key differentiating factors include the subtropical monsoon climate’s typical late-summer diurnal range (often 8–12°C), persistent high pressure suppressing cloud cover and allowing some cooling, and the urban heat island plus Yangtze River moisture that prevents sharper drops. No significant cold fronts, typhoon remnants, or increased cloudiness are expected to alter this pattern before the 7th; a notable cooling and rain trend arrives only around the 9th–10th. Traders appear split on extremes (50% each on ≤22°C or ≥32°C) despite the tight clustering of specific-temperature probabilities around 24–27°C, likely reflecting model uncertainty in exact minimum readings at official stations versus broader-area variability or measurement timing. Historical September baselines for Chongqing show similar warm nights early in the month before seasonal cooling accelerates. Updated model runs or official Chongqing forecasts in the next 24–48 hours will be the primary near-term drivers.
