This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 17 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Recent forecasts for Hong Kong on June 17, 2026, indicate overnight lows near 25–26°C amid persistent thundery showers and moderate rainfall, consistent with short-range guidance from regional models. These conditions, driven by a moist southwesterly flow and cloud cover limiting radiational cooling, keep minimum temperatures clustered around the June climatological average of roughly 26°C. The Hong Kong Observatory’s seasonal outlook for above-normal June–August temperatures provides a slight upward bias, yet localized precipitation and humidity near 90% introduce variability that prevents clearer separation between the 25°C and 26°C outcomes. Traders appear to weigh the near-term model consensus against historical June minima and the narrow resolution window, producing the tight spread between the two leading contracts. Updated official forecasts and Observatory observations on June 16–17 will likely determine any final shift.
