This market will resolve to Yes if President Trump issues a presidential veto, including a "pocket veto," by December 31, 2026 at 11:59PM ET. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No". A pocket veto will be considered to have occurred when the relevant bill is presented to the President, even if the pocket veto's effect is not realized until after the date referenced above. In the event of ambiguity over the timing or effect of a pocket veto, this market will remain open until the status of the pocket veto is known. The resolution source will be official U.S. federal government publications (e.g., Congress.gov) however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. **Trump has issued no vetoes in 2026 after vetoing two narrow bills in December 2025 whose overrides failed in January.** Congress has advanced limited legislation amid Republican majorities and midterm pressures, with disputes over the SAVE America Act and the Iran conflict handled through signing delays, pressure tactics, and symbolic war-powers resolutions that have not reached the president’s desk. Bipartisan measures such as the ROAD to Housing Act moved forward without a formal veto after Trump withheld support to extract concessions elsewhere. Administration statements have signaled opposition to specific rule disapprovals, yet actual veto confrontations have remained rare. Traders appear to view these dynamics—combined with legislative caution ahead of November—as reducing the near-term likelihood of a 2026 veto.
