Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs indicate a primary driver of mid-90s highs for Houston on September 8, with sunny skies, light southeast winds, and heat indices exceeding 105°F supporting the market's leading 94-95°F bin at 37.5% implied probability. Subtle differences among close outcomes hinge on sea-breeze timing, afternoon humidity levels near 50%, and any scattered cloud development that could cap peak temperatures versus allowing fuller insolation. Historical September averages near 91°F provide context, yet late-summer patterns often produce 2–4°F variability depending on steering flow and moisture. Traders weigh these forecast nuances against official updates expected before resolution.
