Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to an overnight low in the upper 70s to low 80s for Dallas on September 17, driven by persistent southerly flow, clear to partly cloudy skies, and elevated dew points that limit radiative cooling. This consensus underpins the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 80–85°F, with traders weighting the most probable outcomes highest while assigning lower probabilities to cooler or warmer extremes. Minor forecast divergences in wind speed, boundary-layer mixing, or afternoon cloud timing could shift the exact minimum by 1–2°F, sustaining the even distribution across leading bins until new model runs or surface observations arrive closer to the date.
