Recent forecasts from Malaysia's Meteorological Department indicate a minimum temperature near 24°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 8, consistent with September climatology of 23–24°C overnight lows amid the final phase of the southwest monsoon. Ongoing strong El Niño conditions, with Niño 3.4 anomalies exceeding +1.0°C, favor drier air masses and slightly elevated minimum temperatures across the Maritime Continent by suppressing convective cooling. Afternoon thunderstorm potential and variable humidity could allow localized drops toward 23–24°C, while clearer periods support readings near 25°C. Model consensus remains tight within 1–2°C, though rapid changes in moisture or wind patterns introduce modest uncertainty ahead of final verification.
