Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private services indicate a minimum temperature in the 66–71°F range for New York City on September 18, 2026, driven by north-northwest winds of 5–10 mph under partly to mostly clear skies that limit overnight radiational cooling while advecting slightly cooler continental air. Recent Central Park observations show September lows fluctuating between 57°F and 71°F, with the latest nights near 68–73°F amid humid conditions and weak frontal influences. Trader consensus centers on 70–71°F as the modal outcome because forecast guidance clusters there, though minor model spread on cloud cover or wind timing could shift the reading into the upper 60s or low 70s before official verification.
