The 71% market-implied probability for Pause–Pause–Pause across the June, July, and September 2026 FOMC meetings reflects the Federal Reserve’s repeated holds at the 3.50–3.75% target range amid elevated inflation near 3.4% year-over-year and supply-driven price pressures in energy. July’s 9–3 vote, with three dissents favoring a 25-basis-point hike, introduced hawkish signals but did not alter the outcome, underscoring committee consensus for patience given solid GDP expansion, resilient labor markets, and productivity gains. Traders assign only a 0.6% chance to any cut in the sequence, consistent with the absence of disinflation sufficient to justify easing. The 27.5% weighting on “Other” largely prices the risk of a September hike, with upcoming CPI releases and the September 15–16 meeting serving as key near-term catalysts that could shift these probabilities.
