Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for Dallas on September 18 projects highs of 97–100°F under persistent high pressure, southerly flow, and minimal cloud cover, producing the tight clustering of market-implied odds between the 96–97°F, 98–99°F, and 100–101°F bins. Subtle differences in boundary-layer mixing, dewpoint advection, or afternoon convective initiation could shift the maximum by a degree or two, explaining why those three outcomes hold nearly equal probability. With the date only 48 hours away, traders are weighting the most recent deterministic and ensemble runs heavily while noting that even small forecast adjustments near the resolution thresholds can move positions. Historical September averages near 89°F underscore how the ongoing heat anomaly supports elevated readings.
