Recent National Weather Service guidance and local forecasts point to a Denver high near 82°F on September 18 amid scattered afternoon thunderstorms, driving the near-even market split between the 80–81°F and 82–83°F bins. Thunderstorm timing and coverage remain the key variables: earlier or more widespread convection could limit peak heating through increased cloud cover and evaporative cooling, while delayed storms or partial clearing would favor readings at the upper end of that range. Dew points in the mid-50s and light southeasterly flow support modest destabilization without extreme moisture, keeping the outcome tightly clustered around seasonal norms slightly above the mid-September average high of roughly 78°F. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 24 hours will refine these details ahead of market resolution.
