Recent official forecasts from the National Weather Service and ensemble models indicate clear, sunny conditions over Seattle on September 16 under high pressure with light northerly flow, supporting daytime highs in the low to mid-70s after cooler readings the prior day. This setup aligns with typical early-fall marine air moderation yet allows sufficient solar heating for temperatures to reach the 72–75°F range, consistent with the market’s heavy weighting toward 74–75°F at 50.5% implied probability. Historical averages near 70.6°F provide context, while the absence of clouds or onshore surges reduces downside risk and caps upside potential below 78°F. Updated model runs through the morning will refine the exact peak before resolution.
