Seattle's overnight low on September 16 is expected near the long-term average of 53°F under clear skies and light northerly winds, supporting the leading 54-55°F market-implied outcome. Radiational cooling under high pressure and low humidity typically allows temperatures to drop several degrees below the daytime high of 71-74°F, with dew points in the low 50s limiting further decline. Model consensus from NOAA and local observations shows minimal cloud cover or onshore flow that could blunt cooling, though variable winds or residual moisture could keep readings in the upper 50s. Traders price significant probability on both warmer and cooler extremes because the exact minimum hinges on precise timing of wind shifts and boundary-layer mixing before dawn. Historical September lows cluster tightly around this range absent major synoptic changes.
