Recent forecast consensus from multiple models points to a September 10 high near 32–33°C in Guangzhou, driven by increasing northeasterly flow, cloud cover, and 60–70% rain chances that limit daytime heating after hotter conditions on September 8–9. This aligns with the climatological average high of 32.4°C and explains the market-implied 43% probability on 33°C, followed by 34°C at 26.5%. Traders weigh these official guidance updates against historical extremes near 36.5°C, noting that any model shift reducing precipitation could favor the upper tail while persistent moisture supports the central outcomes.
