**Recent National Weather Service and local model guidance point to a high in the mid-60s for San Francisco on August 29, 2026, as a strengthening marine layer and persistent onshore westerly flow suppress daytime warming.** Forecasts from the NWS San Francisco Bay Area office show partly cloudy skies with a high near 65°F, while other guidance ranges from 64–67°F amid 10–20 mph west winds that enhance coastal cooling. This follows a brief warmup earlier in the week and aligns with the return of typical late-August marine influence, keeping temperatures below the long-term August average high near 69°F. The tight clustering of market-implied odds around 66–69°F reflects model consensus on these moderating factors, with minor divergences arising from exact station measurement, timing of any afternoon clearing, or subtle variations in boundary-layer moisture. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through the evening of August 28 will refine the precise peak.
