The election call on August 27 for October 5 has intensified competition in Saint-François, where 2022 results showed the CAQ incumbent securing 42% before a new electoral map and shifting provincial polls altered the landscape. Current riding projections place the Parti Québécois ahead on popular vote but with margins narrow enough for the Liberals, CAQ, or Québec solidaire to prevail depending on turnout, candidate momentum, and late campaign developments. Nomination deadlines remain open until September 17, leaving room for additional contenders. Traders' near-even pricing across leading names reflects this multi-party contest and limited differentiation among candidates to date, consistent with broader provincial volatility ahead of advance polls in late September.
