The tight race in Saint-Henri–Sainte-Anne stems from the riding’s 2023 by-election shift to Québec solidaire after long Liberal dominance in this urban Montreal district. Incumbent Guillaume Cliche-Rivard faces Liberal challenger Benoit Clermont in a projected near toss-up, with CAQ candidate Anthony Lavoie also polling competitively. The August 27, 2026, writ drop for the October 5 election has intensified focus on local issues such as housing and immigration amid broader provincial campaign positioning. Nominations close September 17, leaving room for further candidate developments or shifts in party momentum to influence outcomes. Trader prices reflect this balance, consistent with recent projections treating the contest as highly competitive.
