Recent forecasts from multiple models, including GFS outputs, point to a high of 23–24°C in Cape Town on September 19 under clear skies and southerly flow associated with a high-pressure ridge. These conditions favor moderate daytime warming typical of early spring in the region, with afternoon temperatures limited by persistent onshore breezes and low humidity. Market-implied odds favor 24°C as the leading outcome because ensemble guidance clusters near this value, while slightly cooler or warmer scenarios reflect minor model spread in wind strength and boundary-layer mixing. Stable high pressure and negligible precipitation risk have kept probabilities steady in recent updates, with traders weighting official guidance and historical September maxima around 19–20°C.
