Recent NOAA and ensemble model guidance for Seattle on September 21 points to a mild high in the upper 60s to low 70s under partly cloudy skies with light northerly flow, driving the market's tight clustering around 66–71 °F bins. Persistent high pressure and minimal marine-layer intrusion limit afternoon warming compared with recent warmer days, while patchy morning fog and variable cloud cover create the main uncertainty between the 66–67 °F and 70–71 °F outcomes. Historical September climatology shows similar late-summer patterns can shift several degrees with small changes in onshore flow or insolation. Traders appear to price the narrow forecast spread and typical model divergence near the event, with resolution hinging on the official Sea-Tac maximum.
