Recent forecasts from multiple models, including GFS and ECMWF runs as of early September 2, indicate a high of 19–22°C for Amsterdam on September 4 under predominantly cloudy skies with southwest winds of 10–20 m/s and widespread rain or showers. These conditions suppress daytime heating through reduced insolation and evaporative cooling, aligning with the market's concentration on 21–23°C outcomes (over 94% combined implied probability) near the early-September climatological average of ~20°C. Stable model consensus and the approaching landfall of a mild Atlantic air mass reinforce this range, though any late clearing could push toward the upper end while heavier precipitation would favor the lower. Updated short-range guidance and official KNMI briefings in the next 48 hours represent the key near-term catalysts.
