Current National Weather Service and regional model guidance for Denver on September 20 points to overnight lows in the upper 40s to mid-50s, driven by a modest cool front, scattered afternoon thunderstorms, and variable cloud cover that modulates nocturnal radiative cooling. Clearer intervals allow greater heat loss from the high-plains surface, while increased moisture and light northeast winds may limit the drop. Historical September 20 averages near 48°F provide context, yet the near-term pattern favors slightly milder readings. Model spread in boundary-layer mixing and precipitation timing creates the tight clustering around 50–55°F bins, with new short-range updates expected to refine the minimum before resolution.
