The Parti Québécois maintains a consistent lead in recent Quebec voting intention surveys ahead of the October 5, 2026, general election, with roughly 30 percent support driven by stronger backing among francophone voters and favorable seat distribution under the first-past-the-post system. This positioning has translated into the highest implied probability among traders for a PQ victory and majority government. The incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec under Christine Fréchette and the Parti Libéral du Québec trail in the mid-20s percent range in the latest Léger and Pallas Data polling, reflecting limited momentum despite CAQ gains in some francophone segments and PLQ efforts to consolidate opposition votes. Nearly half of decided respondents report their choice remains fluid, while smaller parties such as Québec Solidaire and the Parti Conservateur du Québec register low single-digit or low-teen shares with minimal projected seat impact. The campaign period beginning in late August will test whether these polling trends hold through the final weeks.
