**Latest forecast consensus from the South African Weather Service and global models positions 17–18°C as the most likely maximum for Cape Town on September 16.** Overnight and morning rain associated with a passing cold front will give way to clearing skies and moderate southerly to south-easterly winds, limiting daytime heating while preventing significant cloud cover. Ensemble guidance shows afternoon temperatures peaking near 16–17°C at the official observing site, with a modest chance of brief additional warming if winds slacken or insolation exceeds expectations. Historical September maxima in Cape Town average around 18°C, providing context for the current slightly cooler pattern. Updated model runs and official briefings expected overnight will refine the exact peak, keeping trader focus on any last adjustments to the 17–18°C range.
