Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models converge on a high near 88–90°F for Miami on August 29, with mostly sunny morning conditions giving way to showers and thunderstorms likely after midday. This typical late-summer pattern, driven by high moisture, weak steering flow, and sea-breeze convergence, often caps peak temperatures through afternoon cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Heat indices near 106°F reflect the oppressive humidity, yet the air temperature itself hinges on storm timing and coverage—earlier or more widespread convection favors the lower end of the range while delayed development could allow brief pushes toward 91°F. No tropical systems or anomalous ridging are currently indicated to alter this baseline.
