Recent forecast consensus from models including GFS and ECMWF points to a September 17 high near 26°C in Qingdao under increasing cloud cover and southeasterly flow off the Yellow Sea, which limits daytime heating compared with the sunnier 29°C peak expected on September 16. Coastal moderation and the shift to overcast conditions reduce the likelihood of 28–29°C readings, though lingering warm advection from prior days keeps those outcomes priced above 26°C in trader positioning. Official Chinese meteorological guidance aligns with this trajectory, with minimal precipitation risk and stable pressure supporting a narrow diurnal range. Updated model runs ahead of the date will refine exact maxima and any late-day clearing that could push temperatures higher.
