This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the KY-06 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on May 19, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market. In Kentucky's 6th Congressional District Democratic primary set for May 19, trader consensus reflects a fragmented seven-way race with 45% undecided voters in the latest Normington Petts poll from late April, where Cherlynn Stevenson led at 27% followed by Zach Dembo at 13% amid low name recognition for others. Recent momentum remains split: a May 13 debate featuring Stevenson, Dembo, Erin Petrey, and David Kloiber focused on housing affordability and rural outreach without decisive separation, while endorsements divide support—Dembo backed by ex-Rep. Ben Chandler and the Lexington Herald-Leader, Stevenson by Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman. Strong fundraising by Dembo ($956K raised) and Stevenson enables final ad buys and GOTV in early voting's closing days, any late surge or turnout edge among Lexington voters could tip the balance in this open seat contest.
