Current National Weather Service and model consensus points to an overnight low of 78–80°F in Dallas on September 17 under mostly clear skies and light southerly flow, keeping the daily minimum in the upper 70s to low 80s. Persistent high pressure and warm advection have maintained elevated dew points and limited nocturnal cooling, consistent with the recent pattern of 80°F-plus lows. With the date only 48 hours away, the tightly bunched market probabilities around 80–83°F reflect minor spread among guidance runs on exact boundary-layer mixing and cloud cover, while historical September averages near 70°F underscore how anomalous the current warmth remains. Updated model cycles and the next NWS forecast discussion will provide the clearest signals for any late adjustments.
