Recent PAGASA guidance and multiple forecast models indicate a weakening southwest monsoon and increased easterly influence over Metro Manila, favoring partly cloudy to overcast skies with scattered afternoon thunderstorms on September 15. These conditions, combined with high humidity near 80-90% and light winds, limit surface heating and cap daytime maxima near 30-31°C according to ensemble guidance. Historical September climatology for Manila shows average highs of 31°C, providing context for the current setup. Trader positioning favoring 32-33°C as leading outcomes likely reflects recent drier intervals or model spread, yet fresh data releases from official monitoring and updated runs emphasize cloud cover and precipitation as key suppressors of peak temperatures.
