Forecast uncertainty for San Francisco's September 2 low centers on marine layer depth, onshore flow strength, and cloud cover timing, with National Weather Service guidance showing model spreads that keep multiple temperature ranges near 50% implied probability. Variable Pacific high positioning and wind patterns can either sustain fog-driven cooling or permit modest warming, producing a broad distribution around the typical 55°F September baseline. Official monitoring and updated model runs in the next 24–48 hours will narrow the range before resolution.
