With nominations closing only days ago, traders reflect a fragmented race in which Keith Riel, Neil Morton, and Michael Eamon hold the narrowest leads amid limited polling and name recognition. The absence of an incumbent removes typical advantages, while the crowded ballot raises the prospect of vote splitting. Recent late entries such as Rob Hailman further dilute early momentum. Separation could emerge from scheduled debates, local issue positioning on housing or services, endorsements by community groups, or shifts in fundraising and media visibility over the coming weeks.
