Recent polling from firms including Léger and Pallas Data shows the Parti Québécois maintaining a lead in voting intentions around 30 percent, ahead of the Parti Libéral du Québec at 24-27 percent and the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec at 13-20 percent, with the gap widest among francophone voters. This pattern, stable through mid-August, has produced seat projections favoring a PQ plurality or majority in the National Assembly ahead of the October 5 vote. The CAQ's sharp decline from its prior majority reflects erosion of support since the 2022 election, while the PQ benefits from its traditional strength in key ridings. Traders price the PQ outcome at 71 percent, reflecting this sustained polling advantage and the structural importance of francophone preferences in Quebec's first-past-the-post system.
