Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a high near 94–96°F in Houston on September 15 under mostly sunny skies with light southeast winds and only a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance. Persistent southerly flow advecting Gulf moisture, combined with strong September insolation and minimal cloud cover, supports temperatures several degrees above the 1991–2020 daily average of 89°F. Heat indices exceeding 105°F further underscore the warm boundary-layer conditions. These factors align with the market’s heavy weighting toward 94–95°F (65%) and secondary support for 92–93°F or 96–97°F, reflecting trader consensus on the narrow range of likely outcomes given stable synoptic patterns and limited model spread in the short-term forecast window.
