Forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models indicate a high near 79°F in New York City on September 16 under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, light southwest winds, and high pressure, positioning the 78-79°F bin as the market leader at 62% implied probability. These conditions align with seasonal norms slightly above the 76°F historical average high, with minimal cloud cover and no significant frontal activity expected to limit daytime heating or introduce cooling precipitation. Recent model runs show tight consensus around the upper 70s to low 80s, supporting the secondary 80-81°F outcome at 25% while keeping lower bins like 76-77°F at just 15.5%. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations will refine the final maximum.
