Lin Kuo-chang maintains the leading position in trader pricing for the November 2026 Yilan County magistrate race, reflecting polling trends that show him ahead of KMT nominee Wu Tsung-hsien in head-to-head scenarios. Recent KMT-TPP coordination efforts, including joint surveys from May and candidate nominations for Chen Wan-hui, have not yet produced a decisive opposition consolidation. With candidate registration approaching in late August and the election still months away, key variables include turnout among core party voters, any late campaign developments, and potential shifts in local economic or policy messaging that could alter the current narrow margins reflected in market consensus.
