Recent forecasts from multiple models point to a maximum temperature of 19–20°C in Cape Town on September 4, aligning with the market’s leading outcomes at 46.5% for 20°C and 29% for 19°C. Strong southeasterly winds under clearing high pressure are expected to limit daytime warming after showers on September 3, consistent with typical spring patterns influenced by the Benguela Current. Updated runs show little model spread around these values, with 21°C at 16% reflecting minor upside potential if winds ease. Historical September averages near 18–19°C provide context for the current consensus, and traders appear to be weighting the latest official guidance ahead of any final adjustments on resolution day.
