Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois maintaining a narrow edge in popular support around 28-30 percent, translating into seat projections averaging near 48 with wide ranges of roughly 29-69 under the new 127-seat map, though a majority remains improbable. A late-August Synopsis survey indicated the CAQ closing to statistical parity at 27 percent amid rising concerns over U.S. trade tensions, drawing support from Liberal voters and tightening competition in francophone ridings where the PQ holds efficiency advantages. Voter fluidity across five viable parties, combined with the campaign's early stage and regional concentration patterns, sustains broad uncertainty in seat outcomes. Further polling trends, economic messaging on trade stability, and turnout differentials could shift the distribution before October 5.
