Recent August inflation data at 1.7% month-over-month—the lowest in 14 months—has anchored trader sentiment around the closely matched 1.6–1.8% and 1.9–2.1% brackets for September, reflecting persistent but moderating disinflation under fiscal discipline and exchange-rate stability. Core measures held near 1.8%, while seasonal and regulated price dynamics, including utilities and food, continue to influence monthly prints amid a broader decline from earlier 2026 peaks above 2%. Central bank REM surveys project 1.8% for September, consistent with year-end annual inflation near 30%, though analysts note potential upside from any rebound in inertia or commodity volatility. The October INDEC release will test whether the trajectory sustains below 2% or reaccelerates toward the higher band.
