Fuerza Popular secured a commanding plurality of seats in Peru’s newly restored 130-member Chamber of Deputies after the April 12–13 general election, with results certified by the National Office of Electoral Processes showing roughly 39 seats amid a fragmented field. Keiko Fujimori’s leading presidential performance generated coattails that boosted party lists under proportional representation across 27 districts, while opposition parties such as Juntos por el Perú and Renovación Popular split the remaining vote without approaching FP totals. This outcome aligns with trader consensus reflecting the final vote count. Unlikely challenges could still arise from pending district-level recounts or appeals to the National Jury of Elections, though none have altered the seat distribution with over 99 percent of ballots processed ahead of the June presidential runoff.
