Francesca Hong maintains a dominant position in the Waukesha County portion of Wisconsin’s August 11 Democratic gubernatorial primary due to her consistent statewide polling leads of 20–30 points, energized grassroots support among progressive voters, and broad name recognition built as a state representative and community organizer. Recent July polls from Marquette and others confirmed her expanded support ahead of the vote, while late developments—including Sara Rodriguez’s withdrawal and David Crowley’s re-entry with incumbent Gov. Tony Evers’ endorsement—have not narrowed her advantage. Traders view the short timeline and Hong’s momentum as significant barriers for challengers seeking to consolidate moderate or suburban support in Waukesha, though any last-minute shifts in turnout or endorsements could still influence localized results in this closely watched contest.
