**Recent official forecasts position Miami's September 2 high temperature in the 88–91°F range amid typical late-summer conditions.** National Weather Service point forecasts and local models indicate a maximum near 89–91°F, with highs in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies early in the day before scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms develop in the afternoon. East to southeast winds of 5–10 mph will advect moist tropical air, supporting high humidity and heat indices above 100°F, though afternoon convection and associated cloud cover are expected to limit peak readings. **Persistent warm, moist conditions driven by a subtropical ridge and lingering moisture from Tropical Storm Dolly remnants favor outcomes clustered around 90–91°F (market-implied 50%) and 92–93°F (30%).** These align with climatological norms for early September in Miami-Dade, where daily maxima often reach the low-to-mid 90s absent stronger cooling influences. Broader Climate Prediction Center outlooks for September–November 2026 continue to favor above-normal temperatures across Florida due to ongoing El Niño effects and elevated Gulf/Atlantic sea-surface temperatures. **Key variables that could shift the exact maximum include the timing and coverage of afternoon storms plus any model adjustments to instability or steering winds.** Updated NWS and mesoscale guidance released in the next 24–48 hours will provide the clearest signal ahead of market resolution.
