Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate highs near 90°F for Miami on August 31, consistent with the typical late-August average of 90–91°F and the market’s leading 90–91°F bin at 45.5% implied probability. Persistent easterly flow, high humidity, and afternoon sea-breeze collisions are expected to trigger scattered to numerous thunderstorms that cap daytime heating and prevent temperatures from climbing into the mid-90s or higher. Recent model runs show limited disagreement on peak values, though timing and coverage of convection introduce modest uncertainty around whether readings settle in the upper 80s or briefly reach 92–93°F. Updated NWS guidance and short-range model ensembles in the next 48 hours will be the key data releases likely to influence trader positioning.
