Recent National Weather Service and NOAA model consensus for New York City points to an overnight low near 70°F on September 18, driven by northerly winds behind a frontal passage that moderate temperatures under partly cloudy skies with light precipitation chances. This setup favors the 70-71°F bin as the leading market-implied outcome at 45.5%, followed by 68-69°F, reflecting traders' weighting of forecast stability two days out versus typical model spread in early-fall transition patterns. Historical September lows average around 61°F, but the current warmer, more stable regime has kept probabilities concentrated in the upper 60s to low 70s. Updated model runs and evening briefings from the NWS New York office represent the next key catalysts likely to refine these odds.
