Official National Weather Service forecasts for Miami on September 22 project highs in the upper 80s amid scattered afternoon thunderstorms and high humidity, with southwesterly winds around 5-10 mph and an 80% precipitation chance. This pattern aligns with the market's tight clustering around 86-89°F outcomes, as convective clouds and rainfall reduce peak solar insolation while typical late-September moisture limits overnight cooling. Historical averages near 88.7°F provide context, though recent model consensus shows slightly suppressed maxima due to storm activity rather than clear-sky heating. Key variables include afternoon thunderstorm timing and intensity, which could shift the daily high by a few degrees depending on outflow boundaries or lingering cloud cover. Updated NWS point forecasts and short-range model runs will refine these details ahead of market resolution.
