In the Rio de Janeiro Senate race, Benedita da Silva leads polling averages while a crowded field contests second place ahead of the October 2026 vote. Recent July surveys from Quaest and Paraná Pesquisas show Marcelo Crivella, Pedro Paulo, Carlos Portinho, and others clustered in low single digits behind the PT candidate, with large shares of undecided and blank responses keeping margins narrow. Party ticket alignments, evangelical voter blocs, and investigations targeting some PL and União Brasil figures have reshaped the field without producing a clear runner-up. Trader consensus at even odds across many names reflects this dispersion and the potential for late shifts in turnout or endorsements to reorder the lower ranks before election day.
